Banaue

Banaue is a base for approaching Ifugao’s agricultural landscapes, but it does not contain all of the region’s terrace groups. Batad and Bangaan are in Banaue; the experience combines villages, rice fields, water and steep trails.

What makes it special

  • Batad features a semicircular bowl of terraces and a demanding route with descents, steps and uphill sections.
  • Bangaan offers a slower look at the relationship between a traditional village and its rice fields.
